Two Carlton Football Club players with a passion for bowel cancer prevention are the faces of this week’s #iknowsome1 campaign.
The campaign asks Australians to help raise bowel cancer awareness by using #iknowsome1 on Twitter and Instagram on June 6 when Carlton hosts the Adelaide Crows at the MCG.
Players Levi Casboult and Cameron Wood have not only committed to supporting the #iknowsome1 campaign, but are also official ambassadors for The Jodi Lee Bowel Cancer Foundation and we’re absolutely thrilled to have them on board!
Casboult experienced first hand the impact bowel cancer has on a family when his uncle was diagnosed with the disease in 2014. The 24 year old now feels strongly about raising awareness to prevent other families from going through the same ordeal.
Wood has thrown his support behind the Foundation after hearing Jodi’s story last year when Carlton Football Club ran its Corporate Bowel Screening Program.
“We have seen the work The Jodi Lee Bowel Cancer Foundation does raising awareness of bowel cancer through its #iknowsome1 campaign with the AFL, and are very keen to help”, said Wood.
A big thank you to Carlton Football Club for supporting the campaign for the third consecutive year.
