We were thrilled to be surrounded by such an inspiring and motivated group on last week’s SA Hiking Challenge.

It was a challenging trail, but well worth the effort and our 300 participants should feel very proud for taking part.

The scenery along the Heysen Trail was stunning and the people of Burra went above and beyond to make us feel welcome.

A memorable celebration dinner was held on Saturday night at the Burra Mine, which was the perfect opportunity for everyone to come together and reflect on their achievement.

An astounding $380,000 has been raised so far to help us prevent bowel cancer.

We are overwhelmed by this level of support, which will allow us to grow our initiatives, all of which focus on motivating people to screen regularly, act quickly on symptoms and lead healthy and active lifestyles.

We were fortunate to have Chris Diamond at the event as official Foundation photographer, who captured some incredible moments on film. There are so many beautiful photos you can view them here.

Watch this space for details on next year’s SA Hiking Challenge. We hope you can join us!
