We can’t thank Antoinette enough for helping us raise awareness of bowel cancer by sharing her story with Q Weekend.

Antoinette bravely talks about the heartbreak she is faced with after being diagnosed with stage IV bowel cancer at just 37 years of age.

With a loving husband and four young children, Antoinette wants people to realise that bowel cancer can strike at any age, be aware of symptoms and push for a diagnosis if you think something is wrong.

Antoinette first experienced symptoms when she was 36 and pregnant with her youngest child but wasn’t diagnosed with bowel cancer until almost two years later.

Her wish is to raise awareness in the hope that no one will have to experience what she and her family are going through. Read the story here.
