Not long now until our dedicated New York Marathon team will take to the streets of the Big Apple for the race of their lives, and for bowel cancer prevention.

Our team of 15 has raised almost $50,000, all the while training hard for the flagship marathon. For many of them it will be the first New York Marathon they’ve competed in, and it won’t be long until they can tick the big event off their bucket list.

The New York marathon is one of the largest marathons in the world. Forty nine thousand runners, 135 bands, over two million cheering spectators, and 315 million television viewers worldwide.

There’s been some great coverage about participant Katina Koukourou in the Augusta-Margaret River Mail. The busy Margaret River doctor, and mother, recently turned 40 and decided it was time to compete in the marathon. Her clinic specialises in preventative measures for disease, so supporting us was an obvious choice for her. Thanks Katina!
