As Executive Chairman of Commercial & General Group and one of Australia’s most influential and socially minded property leaders, Jamie shared his insights on building at scale, creating places with purpose, and doing it all with big budgets and bold vison.

Showcase SA Co-Founder and CEO, Steve Testar, a valued Jodi Lee Bowel Cancer Foundation Ambassador, generously incorporated a fundraising element into the luncheon.

Next week, Steve will take on The JLF Trek & Trail Run – our major fundraising event and an inspiring challenge that helps raise vital awareness of bowel cancer and the importance of prevention and early detection. Proceeds from the raffle held and drawn at the luncheon were put into Showcase SA’s The JLF Trek & Trail Run fundraising tally.

Steve understands first-hand the powerful role events and advocacy can play in raising awareness and prompting life-saving action:

“Two years ago, I was able to bring awareness of bowel cancer to one of my friends, who after one of my Showcase SA lunches went and did the bowel screening test. It returned a positive result, which turned out to be cancerous polyps that were immediately removed. The ability to share information that can save lives is so important to me” – Steve Testar.
