We’re proud to be ‘Talking Sh!t’
We were proud to be ‘Talking Sh!t’ at the Zonta Women’s Expo on Saturday – starting important conversations about bowel cancer symptoms, screening, and the life‑saving power of early detection.
Zonta is a global network of women working together to improve the legal, political, economic, educational, health and professional status of women, both locally and around the world, through service and advocacy. It was a privilege to be part of an event so strongly aligned with education, empowerment and women’s health.
So many conversations started with:
“I didn’t know that was a symptom…”
or
“I didn’t realise screening could start earlier…”
And that’s exactly why days like this matter. Knowing the signs, trusting your gut, and taking part in regular screening can truly save lives.
A heartfelt thank you to the Zonta Club Adelaide Hills & Flinders for creating such an inclusive, informative space where awareness, advocacy and community come together so powerfully. Every conversation, every question and every story shared helps us move one step closer to a future where fewer families are impacted by bowel cancer.
If today reminded even one person to listen to their body or take up screening, then it was absolutely worth it.
If you missed us, you can still find out more about screening or bowel cancer symptoms by heading to our website jodileefoundation.org.au or visiting our free symptom checker at trustyourgut.com.au
A special thank you to Hollie, who stepped in to support us on the day. We’re so grateful for her ongoing connection to the Foundation and her support of this important conversation.
