This year, The JLF Trek SA will be held on parts of the ‘Walk the Yorke’ trail on Friday 13 May and Saturday 14 May, raising important funds and awareness for bowel cancer prevention and early detection.

Jodi Lee Bowel Cancer Foundation Community Engagement Manager, Samantha Herbut (pictured right), said that The JLF Trek SA will be a fun event with a great sense of community.

“Walking with more than 250 people is such a humbling experience, knowing that you’re all walking for a collective cause and helping to save lives.

Each year The JLF Trek SA likes to explore a different South Australian region. Yorke Peninsula is such a beautiful part of South Australia, and now with the Walk the Yorke trail, it’s the perfect time to explore what this area has to offer.

Nick Perry, Yorke Peninsula Council Manager of Economic Development and Business Sustainability (pictured left) is looking forward to The JLF Trek SA being held on the ‘Walk the Yorke’ trail.

Yorke Peninsula Council Mayor, Darren Braund said: “Yorke Peninsula Council is honoured the Jodi Lee Bowel Cancer Foundation has chosen Yorke Peninsula as the destination for this year’s The JLF Trek,”

“We look forward to locals and visitors exploring Yorke Peninsula’s picturesque coastline. By signing up for the event you will help raise much-needed funds for an amazing charity and bring awareness to the fight against bowel cancer. Council is proud to support the Jodi Lee Bowel Cancer Foundation with this year’s The JLF Trek, including through financial sponsorship and in-kind assistance.”
