Curious about the future of bowel cancer research?
We’re sharing this special event on behalf of our friends at the South Australian Genomics Centre and Flinders Foundation.
Three brilliant researchers will discuss cutting-edge technologies that are transforming how we prevent, detect, and treat bowel cancer. With rising rates in younger adults, especially women, this seminar is for anyone passionate about health, science, and saving lives.

The South Australian Genomics Centre and Flinders Foundation, invite you to a special seminar to hear from three outstanding researchers working to improve the diagnosis, treatment, and survivorship, of people impacted by bowel cancer.
Bowel cancer is a preventable disease, if early bowel cancers are detected, they can be removed and >95% of patients are cured. When not diagnosed early, bowel and stomach cancers have very high mortality rates (5-year survival for advanced disease is 12% for bowel cancer and 5% for stomach cancer), resulting in more than 6,000 deaths in Australia each year.
What may be most concerning is that globally, is the increasing rates of bowel cancer in younger adults, particularly women – a trend that is extremely worrying.
In this seminar, you will learn about the technologies being employed today to better to prevent, find and treat these cancers, and you will hear about exciting technologies being investigated to improve approaches in future.
