Thank you to everyone who came along to our RunDNA Info Night this week. The room was full of energy, community spirit and excitement for what’s ahead on the trail.

We’re especially grateful to our incredible The JLF Trek partner, RunDNA for welcoming us into their Thebarton store and sharing their deep knowledge and passion for helping people find the right gear for their goals.

Whether you’re running or walking The JLF Trek, or training for the New York Marathon or City-Bay, the team at RunDNA are true experts in fitting the best footwear for your stride, terrain and comfort.

With personal experience tackling road and trail terrains, backed by science-led technology, the team are true specialists in getting you fitted properly and feeling confident for the journey ahead. If you haven’t been in to see them yet – you absolutely should. They’ll help you find the right shoe and best fit for comfort, support, and performance.

We were also blown away by their depth of knowledge on the best socks to help avoid blisters and all the additional equipment to enhance and support your training and trek experience like hiking poles, hydration packs, electrolytes and trail gear.

Guests also heard from JLF Trek regular, and JLF Ambassador James Trenerry, who shared his experience from having run numerous treks and his motto for pushing himself whenever the going gets tough: ‘do it anyway’.

Jodi Lee Foundation Founder & Chair Nick Lee OAM shared why we trek – not just for the event itself to raise awareness and to support those impacted by bowel cancer, but to build consistent movement into our lives. The training process is a powerful way to establish sustainable exercise habits, and many past trekkers say it’s been a game-changer for their physical and mental health.

Thank you to JLF Trek partners Bowlsome and PLATFRM Mile End for providing discount vouchers for guests to take home. Thanks also to RunDNA for offering generous discounts on the night, providing a gift voucher for the best question, as well as a lucky door prize voucher.

Thanks again to RunDNA and everyone who came along. We’re so excited for the next chapter of our trek journey.
