We had the privilege of connecting with the community at Westfield West Lakes to raise awareness about bowel cancer symptoms and the importance of regular screening.
To help spark meaningful conversations, we handed out over 200 individually wrapped Sorbent toilet rolls, kindly donated by our friends at Sorbent. A big thank you to Sorbent for our partnership and to Westfield for hosting us!
We heard so many moving stories – from survivors, people who’d lost loved ones, and those taking preventative steps after having polyps removed or with bowel cancer in their family.
Many told us they’d just done their bowel screening test, others said we’d inspired them to do it, and some in the 45–49 age group were surprised to learn they’re eligible for a free test and ordered theirs then and there. Some would speak with their GP to investigate symptoms they’d been experiencing.
These conversations matter. They save lives.
Thank you to all who stopped by, shared their story, asked questions, or simply took a moment to learn more.
This activation was all about raising awareness for bowel cancer symptoms and encouraging early screening through real, face-to-face conversations. Every roll we handed out was a chance to educate, connect, and potentially save a life – and the response from the community was truly inspiring.
It also gave us the opportunity to spotlight Sorbent’s powerful partnership with the Jodi Lee Foundation — a collaboration that’s been going strong since the start of 2023 and continues to help us reach more Australians with life-saving messages.
The recently launched boxes of individually wrapped rolls feature our logo on the back and are in addition to the existing packs featuring QR codes that link directly to our Trust Your Gut symptom checker – trustyourgut.com.au – which have been helping spark life-saving conversations for some time now.
Partnerships like this help us take our message into everyday spaces, turning awareness into action and conversations into life-saving change.
Thank you again to Westfield and Sorbent for helping us save lives.
