26 August 2014

We are thrilled to announce that we are filming Australia’s first national bowel cancer TV commercial at a giant installation in the heart of Sydney’s CBD!

On Friday 29th August 2014, we’re building the words BOWEL CANCER out of 5,000 mock bowel screening test kits. Passers-by will be invited to take a ‘test’, literally making the words bowel cancer disappear.

The message this conveys is simple – the more people who take a bowel screening test, the less we’ll see of bowel cancer.

We’ll be filming the event and using it as a basis for a national TV commercial to educate people on the importance of screening for the early detection of bowel cancer and inspire them to take action.

The installation and TVC are part of our national awareness campaign, funded by the Federal Government, encouraging Australians to screen for bowel cancer from age 50, act quickly on symptoms and lead healthy and active lifestyles.

You can help us raise awareness on Friday by tweeting: I want to see less of bowel cancer #takethetest – https://bit.ly/VMBowF
