Last week’s SA Hiking Challenge was a great success … raising more than $80,000 as participants hiked along the stunning Fleurieu Peninsula.

Last Friday, more than 80 people headed off along the most southern point of the Heysen Trail, to take part in our 2014 SA Hiking Challenge, where we covered just over 60 kilometres over two days.

It was a tough and challenging trail that included a few very steep hills and rugged terrain, but it was well worth it, with fundraising efforts far exceeding our expectations.

Thanks so much to everyone who took part and to our volunteers who did a fabulous job providing support along the way. And a special thank you to our major sponsor Beach Energy.

We’re now looking ahead to next year’s hike, where a trek through the Copper Country of the north is on the cards. Watch this space!
