Today we launched Talking Sh!t, our new awareness campaign in conjunction with the Australian Government Department of Health.
With the help of our Talking Sh!t ambassadors Merv Hughes, Wendy Harmer, Dr Ginni Mansberg, Gavin Wanganeen and Richard Wilkins, we’re urging Australians aged 50-74 to complete the free National Bowel Cancer Screening Test as soon as it arrives in the mail.
And for those who have already completed the test, we want them to ask their friends and family in the 50-74 year old age group if they’ve completed their test. Talking Sh!t with your family and friends really could save a life.
Bowel cancer is the second biggest cancer killer in Australia, but it doesn’t have to be. That’s because, if detected early up to 90% of bowel cancers can be successfully treated or even prevented.
Completing the at-home Bowel Cancer Screening Test every two years dramatically increases the chances of early detection, which is key to successful treatment.
We were grateful to have the Honourable Ged Kearney, Assistant Minister for Health and Aged Care join us for the event.

Of course, if you experience any bowel cancer symptoms at all, regardless of your age, please see your doctor.
