Congratulations toJodi Lee Foundation Ambassador Kellie Finlayson on the release of her deeply moving memoir, ‘There Must Be More’, published on April 29 2025.

At just 25, Kellie received the devastating diagnosis of Stage 4 bowel cancer, only three months after welcoming her daughter, Sophia. Instead of succumbing to despair, she transformed her journey into a mission to raise awareness about bowel cancer – Australia’s second deadliest cancer and the leading cancer killer among individuals aged 25 to 49.

In There Must Be More, Kellie shares her raw and honest experiences of living with a terminal diagnosis. She describes herself not as a cancer survivor, but as a “cancer thriver,” confronting her illness with defiance and purpose. Her story is a testament to resilience, hope, and the human spirit’s capacity to find meaning in the face of unimaginable challenges.

We’re honoured to have been asked to contribute a few words to Kellie’s book.

Beyond her writing, Kellie continues to inspire as the face of the Jodi Lee Foundation’s “Trust Your Gut” campaign, advocating for early detection and encouraging individuals to listen to their bodies.

There Must Be More is more than a memoir, it’s a beacon of hope for those navigating adversity. Since its release, the book has resonated deeply with readers across Australia, quickly climbing bestseller lists and cementing Kellie’s voice as one that truly matters. We at the Jodi Lee Foundation are immensely proud of Kellie and her unwavering commitment to making a difference.

You can find There Must Be More at major retailers, including Amazon AustraliaBIG W, and Booktopia.

Congratulations, Kellie. Your courage and voice are lighting the way for so many.
