City-Bay 2025 – Rain didn’t stop us!
Two weeks ago, our incredible 20-strong team showed up with heart, grit, and purpose – all in support of bowel cancer prevention and early detection.
We were proud to be part of the action, with a marquee at the Finish Line Village and delicious goodies for those who chose to run or walk for our cause.
Together, we raised over $3,000 and vital awareness to help save lives through early detection – every dollar helps us continue our national bowel cancer awareness campaigns and programs.
It was great to connect with so many who popped past our tent to show their support, including Hon Chris Picton MP, Jackie Bailey (part of our New York Marathon team), and those who ran for our cause – including bowel cancer survivor and JLF Trek regular Bec, to JLF Ambassadors Sophie Edwards and Kellie Finlayson, and board member Anna Roussos.
We’re especially grateful to the younger participants who ran alongside their parents. Your energy and enthusiasm made the day even more special.
Huge thanks to Bowlsome for fuelling our team with salad pots, and Soddi Hydration for the rehydration salts – we couldn’t have done it without you!
We’re already looking ahead to next year’s City-Bay, and we’ve got another exciting running event coming in 2026! Want in? Email [email protected] to register your interest now.
Here’s to every step and stride taken in the rain – for a future free of bowel cancer.
