Ollie Florent is a professional AFL player, playing for the Carlton Football Club.
He was drafted to the Sydney Swans in 2016 with the club’s first selection and quickly became an integral part of their midfield and wing structures following his debut in 2017. After nine seasons and more than 170 games in red and white, Ollie made the move to Carlton at the end of the 2025 season, where he has continued to elevate his game and bring experience, leadership, and trademark speed to the Blues’ line-up.
Ollie’s family was impacted by bowel cancer when his Dad Andrew was diagnosed with Stage 4 Bowel Cancer in 2013 when Ollie was 15.
Andrew sadly lost his battle in 2016, three months before Ollie was drafted to the Swans. “I still feel like we have missed out on so much. But he gave me three years he wasn’t meant to have and by the end it felt selfish to want more. He’s always going to be here with me. I’m so lucky to have had him.”
