AMBASSADOR
Travis Demsey/Wellbeing Speaker, Educator & Musician

Travis Demsey’s journey is one of resilience, reinvention and purpose. Growing up in a dysfunctional family in regional Victoria, he discovered a sense of identity, belonging and direction through music. As a founding member of iconic Australian rock band The Living End, Travis achieved international success, touring extensively throughout Australia, Europe, the United Kingdom and the United States alongside world-renowned artists including AC/DC, Green Day, The Offspring and Red Hot Chili Peppers. He also appeared on leading international television programs such as The Late Show with David Letterman and Late Night with Conan O’Brien.

After stepping away from the music industry, Travis redirected his passion towards helping people recognise their potential and overcome life’s challenges. For more than two decades, he has worked across youth justice, community development and education, designing and delivering programs that foster resilience, wellbeing, leadership and personal growth.

Now based in South Australia, Travis is an engaging and authentic speaker who draws on his unique life experiences to inspire audiences of all ages. Combining powerful storytelling with practical insights, he encourages people to navigate adversity, embrace change and pursue a life aligned with their values and purpose.

Having recently lost a friend to bowel cancer, Travis understands firsthand the devastating impact bowel cancer can have on individuals, families and communities. The experience reinforced the importance of being proactive about health and the life-saving role of early detection and screening.

As an Ambassador for the Jodi Lee Bowel Cancer Foundation, Travis is passionate about raising awareness of bowel cancer prevention, encouraging Australians to know the signs and symptoms, and helping more people take action to protect their health through regular screening.
