“Your determination today means better tomorrows for others”.
This simple, but powerful, message was spotted on last year’s trek – and it’s stayed with us ever since. Because it captures exactly what this weekend is all about.
From tomorrow morning, hundreds of trekkers and trail runners will take to the trail in the McLaren Vale region as part of The JLF Trek & Trail Run – not just to cover kilometres, but to create change. Every early morning, post-work or weekend training session, every sore muscle, every step forward has been driven by something bigger than the finish line.
Because this isn’t just a trek.
It’s a commitment to raising awareness.
It’s a movement to save lives.
Every stride taken across those trails represents hope – for earlier detection, for prevention, and for a future where fewer families are impacted by bowel cancer.
And with wet weather expected across the two days, this year’s challenge will demand even more grit, resilience, and determination from everyone on the trail.
This is what determination looks like.
And this is why we trek.
If you’ve been inspired by the journey so far, there’s still time to make an impact. Support our trekkers and runners and help us continue our life-saving work by donating here.
A big thank you to our trekkers and runners and all who have supported them or donated to the cause.
Together, today’s effort creates better tomorrows.
