We’re Talking Sh!t to help close the gap.

Tomorrow is National Close the Gap Day – a day dedicated to improving health outcomes and closing the life expectancy gap for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. It’s a national priority, and one that individuals, communities, and organisations across Australia can contribute to.

The Talking Sh!t team will join our ambassador, AFL legend and contemporary Indigenous artist Gavin Wanganeen, at the free Closing the Gap Day event at the Adelaide Showground (Kaurna Yerta). You’ll find us in the Goyder Pavilion.

This activation is proudly supported by Preventive Health SA and the Aboriginal and Zenadth Kes Men’s Bowel Screening Grant 2025–2026.

Led by Gavin, our team will share life‑saving messages and spark meaningful conversations about bowel cancer screening – because getting informed, getting screened, and spreading the word saves lives.

Every chat matters. Every promise to complete the test brings us one step closer to earlier detection and better outcomes.

Together, we’re breaking down barriers and making bowel cancer prevention a priority – together, we’re saving lives.
