Putting women’s health firmly in the spotlight this International Women’s Day.

This International Women’s Day, we’re putting women’s health firmly in the spotlight.

Today, these incredible women are sharing powerful messages to inspire action:
✨ Prioritise yourself and your health
✨ Trust Your Gut and push your GP for answers
✨ Do the free bowel screening test (ages 45–74), or purchase one for $45 on our website
✨ Use our free Symptom Checker at trustyourgut.org.au
✨ Act early on symptoms – because early detection saves lives.

Women know their bodies. When something feels “off,” it matters. Too often symptoms are dismissed or mistaken for stress, hormones, menstruation, pregnancy or post‑partum changes, perimenopause or menopause, or simply the demands of a busy life.

In Australia, bowel cancer claims the lives of more than 2,500 women every year. It’s the third most commonly diagnosed cancer in Australian women.

But the good news is it’s also one of the most preventable – up to 99% of bowel cancers can be successfully treated when detected early.

Our Trust Your Gut campaign is a reminder to listen to your body, back yourself, and push for answers.
If something doesn’t feel right, don’t wait. Don’t minimise it. Don’t settle for uncertainty.

Trust Your Gut. Because early action can be life‑saving.

Every conversation, every symptom checked, every screening kit completed, and every woman who trusts her gut and pushes for answers, moves us closer to a future where fewer families are affected by bowel cancer.

Because together, we’re not just raising awareness – we’re turning awareness into action.

And action saves lives.
