Stephen Kernahan played 12 seasons with Carlton Football Club and continued his  association as both selector, committeeman and President… a true club legend.

Stephen’s Mum was diagnosed with bowel cancer at age 50. She had been experiencing symptoms for a couple of years and sadly battled in silence. She fought the disease bravely until it spread to her kidneys and liver until she succumbed at 56.

Losing your Mum at such a young age has a big impact on Stephen. He is passionate supporter of early detection by screening and taking the test every two years.
